Find what you need.
Leave the lights off.

Keys vanish on a dark nightstand. Zipper pulls disappear into tent fabric. Even a flashlight is useless until you find it. One Spike Glow Fob puts a steady point of light on the exact thing you're reaching for — and keeps a hardened tip within reach for the day you need it.

Spike Glow Fob on a keyring, glowing in the dark
Find your keys. Keep the room dark.
Set them down anywhere — they're the first thing you see when the lights are off.
Spike Glow Fob tungsten tip
A tip you'll be glad you had.
Score a box, mark a line, or break tempered glass in an emergency — the tungsten spike lives on your keys, so it's always there.
Spike Glow Fob on everyday carry gear
Go straight to the pocket you need.
Mark the pocket you use most; no checking every zipper by touch.
Spike Glow Fob on a tent zipper at night
Find the tent door at 3 a.m.
Clip it to the entrance zipper; no phone light sweeping across sleeping people.
Spike Glow Fob on a flashlight lanyard during a blackout
Find your light before you can turn it on.
When the power cuts out, the beam is one reach away — even in a pitch-black room.
Put one wherever you keep losing things.

Keys, pack, tent, flashlight, first-aid kit, dog leash — if you reach for it in the dark, it can carry a Spike Glow Fob. No charging before bed or a camping trip; the glow is simply there. Keep the window facing out: it marks the item, it is not a flashlight.

How the colors compare: Green reads brightest to the human eye and is the one most owners start with, with Yellow close behind — the best picks for a true low-light locator. White, Orange and Ice Blue sit in the middle: still easy to spot, more balanced in tone. Pink, Red and Purple are the softest — pick these for character rather than reach. All eight share the same self-powered vial, and you can always swap the vial later.

Tungsten spike tail
02 — The Spike
A tungsten tip on a titanium body.
Most tritium fobs stop at the glow. Spike adds a hardened tungsten-carbide point at the tail — far harder than steel, it scores glass and ceramic without dulling and concentrates a strike into a single point when you need to get through a car window. It threads into the titanium body, so a worn tip can be swapped years from now while the fob stays the same.
Grade 5 Titanium
01 — Material
Machined from Grade 5 titanium. Built to keep.
Real Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) — the alloy of jet engines and surgical implants, not coated alloy. Half the weight of steel, it shrugs off pocket wear, keys and sweat. The castellated head gives your fingers grip when you twist the cap, and the lanyard loop is machined from the same block — no split ring to fail.
Borosilicate Glass
03 — Optics
Borosilicate glass lens. Stays clear for years.
Plastic yellows, scratches and hazes within weeks. Borosilicate glass — the same material as lab beakers — keeps optical-grade clarity that won't degrade. The glow looks as good on year five as on day one, and both the window and the vial can be replaced separately, so you keep the same fob for life.

Why it never needs charging

Glow paint has to be charged under a light and fades within hours — usually before you need it. Tritium makes its own light: inside each sealed glass vial it excites a phosphor coating around the clock, whether the fob lives on your keys, in a pack pocket or at the bottom of a camping bin for months. Nothing to remember, nothing to switch on.

B-DECAY ELECTRONS TRITIUM GAS (H-3) PHOSPHOR COATING ON INNER WALL

Glows continuously for years

Hydrogen-3 undergoes natural beta decay inside a sealed glass vial, releasing low-energy electrons nonstop — day and night, whether you look at it or not.

Nothing to charge or maintain

Those electrons hit the phosphor coating on the inner glass wall and turn straight into visible light. No battery, no sunlight, no switch.

Sealed safely inside titanium

The phosphor keeps emitting a steady glow for up to 25 years, all self-contained. Swap in a fresh vial whenever you want it back at full strength.

When sealed, tritium vials are safe to handle. Their beta radiation is too weak to penetrate the glass vial and is easily blocked by paper. The same light sources are used in watches, exit signs and aviation instruments.

Why this isn't a $5 glow stick

Tritium vs photoluminescent glow paint — the difference is 25 years.

How to swap tritium vial
Twist off the castellated cap
Screw thread plus O-ring seal — it won't loosen in your pocket. The castellated head gives your fingers grip; two turns and it's free.
Slide out the glass tube
The glass tube holding the tritium vial slides right out. Handle the glass with care.
Seat the new tube
Drop in your chosen color, snap the plug home, slide it back in.
Done. Already glowing.
Tighten the cap, pocket it. Green on Monday, Ice Blue by Friday. The titanium body is the last one you'll need.

A few things worth knowing

Yes. The tritium is hermetically sealed inside borosilicate glass, inside titanium. Its low-energy beta radiation cannot penetrate the glass, let alone skin. The same light sources are used in watches, exit signs and aviation instruments. Just never open, cut or deliberately break the vial; if you ever suspect it's damaged, stop using the fob and contact us.
Think of it as a marker, not a flashlight: a clear, steady point of light you can spot across a dark room once your eyes adjust — enough to find keys, a zipper pull, a flashlight or a bag in total darkness. Green is the brightest choice; the other colors are chosen for their look and appear softer. It shows you where the item is; it won't light up a keyhole or the room around you. Photos can look brighter than the real thing because of camera exposure.
A tritium vial keeps glowing for years without any charging, with a useful glow life of up to 25 years depending on the color and where you view it. The glow softens gradually over that time rather than switching off; most owners find it practically useful for 15+ years. When you want it back at full strength, swap in a new vial and keep the same titanium body. How tritium illumination works
The tail carries a tungsten-carbide point — much harder than hardened steel. Day to day it scores boxes, tape and packaging and marks glass, tile or metal. In an emergency, a firm strike with the point at the corner of a tempered side window concentrates the force enough to shatter it. It is a pointed tool: keep it away from children and skin, and don't stab it into anything you don't want marked.
Carried on a keyring, the tip sits among your keys like any other pointed key. It is hard, so it can mark a phone screen if pressed against it — carry it in a separate pocket from your phone, or on a bag, if that's a concern. Fabric and leather are not affected by normal carry.
The titanium body and tungsten tip are unaffected by drops. The outer window and the inner vial are still glass and can break in a serious fall; the design lets the cheap, replaceable outer glass take the hit first. Replacement outer glass is available as an add-on, and we recommend adding one to your order.
The vial sits inside the titanium body and very rarely breaks. If it does, nothing dangerous happens: tritium is a gas, so it spreads out and is gone. Why the risk is low A 3 x 11 mm vial holds about 0.02 mg of tritium gas. Tritium gas is barely absorbed by the body and is mostly exhaled, so even the extreme case of inhaling that entire amount at once works out to roughly a few days of natural background radiation. In reality the gas spreads through the room in seconds and you breathe in only a tiny fraction of it, well below a single day of background. There is nothing to clean up beyond a bit of glass. Three things not to do
  • Do not crush, cut, drill or heat a vial on purpose.
  • Do not open a vial to reuse the phosphor. The gas is the useful part, and it is gone once the seal breaks.
  • Do not give loose vials to children. The glass is the hazard, not the tritium.
Tritium keychains are consumer self-luminous products, not hazardous materials, and travel in carry-on or checked luggage. The pointed tungsten tip is the part screeners may look at: to be safe, pack the Spike Glow Fob in checked luggage, as pointed tools are at the screener's discretion in carry-on. FAA packing guidance
We own the CNC machines. Design, manufacturing and shipping are all in-house, and we sell directly to you. No middlemen, no distributor markup — your money goes into the titanium, the vial and the serviceable construction, not into someone else's margin.
It depends on the variant you choose. If you select a color (Green, Ice Blue, etc.), you receive the titanium fob with tungsten tip, keyring attachment, and a pre-installed tritium vial in that color — ready to glow out of the box. If you select No Tritium (Shell Only - No Glow), you receive the titanium fob and keyring attachment without a tritium vial, for customers who already own vials or want to source their own. Backup glass and extra vials are optional add-ons; other keys, clips and accessories shown in photos are not included.
Both the tritium vial and the outer window are glass, so we ask every owner to do a quick check on the day the parcel arrives, before installing or using the fob. It takes a minute:
  1. Open the box on the delivery date (per the carrier's tracking record) and keep the packaging.
  2. Look over the outer glass for chips or cracks.
  3. Take the fob into a completely dark room, let your eyes adjust for 30 seconds and confirm the vial glows steadily on its own.
  4. Spotted a problem? Email us by the end of the following day with photos of the part and the original packaging, and we'll sort out a replacement.
Every vial and glass tube is individually inspected before shipping, which is why this window is short: once a fob has been handled beyond this first check, test-fitted, installed or used, the glass components are no longer covered for replacement or refund. The titanium body is unaffected. Email Antdesign support
Shipping options and delivery estimates are shown at checkout. Our 30-day return policy has eligibility conditions, including original, unopened packaging; contact us before sending a return. The tritium vial and outer glass have their own arrival-check terms — see the answer above. Full details: Shipping & Returns.
